on

This year, Manchester and London will welcome Batman Unmasked–a journey through an elaborate collection of Batman items from the famous Warner Bros. archives, offering fans an exclusive opportunity to experience the cinematic world of Batman like never before. Opening its doors at Depot Mayfield in Manchester on 16 July and running until 26 August, Batman Unmasked will then descend upon London’s Covent Garden from 6 September through to 3 November, allowing fans to celebrate Batman Day at the London-based experience on 21 September. The experience brings the cinemetic world of Batman to UK fans in celebration of DC’s Caped Crusader’s 85th anniversary throughout 2024.

Captivating Batman fans of all ages, Batman Unmasked will take guests on a thrilling journey through the Caped Crusader’s legendary history in film as they explore an extensive collection of original props and costumes from Warner Bros. Pictures films including “Batman” (1989), “Batman Forever” (1995), “Batman & Robin” (1997), “Batman Begins” (2005), “The Dark Knight” (2008), “The Dark Knight Rises” (2012), “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (2016), “Justice League” (2017), “Joker” (2019) and “The Batman” (2022).

Navigating through a series of themed rooms, visitors will venture into the world of Gotham City. Guests will take in the awe-inspiring Batsuits worn by iconic actors including Robert Pattinson, Christian Bale and Michael Keaton, alongside original props and memorabilia. In each city there will be a selection of original vehicles on display including the Tumbler and Batpod from “The Dark Knight” (2008), and the Batmobile and Batcycle from “The Batman” (2022).

Travelling through walkways inspired by the various criminals of Gotham City, guests will arrive at The Rogue’s Gallery – a dark and mysterious space devoted to the DC Super-Villains Batman has faced through the years, including an array of suits, props and weapons like Uma Thurman’s Poison Ivy ensemble, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn costume, Jim Carrey’s Riddler outfit and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Mr. Freeze suit. Ahead of The Joker returning to the big screen this year in “Joker: Folie A Deux”, fans will also be able to see the red suit worn by Joaquin Phoenix in “Joker” and the infamous nurses uniform worn by Heath Ledger in “The Dark Knight.”

Throughout the Batman Unmasked experience, younger fans will also be able to explore the space and find hidden facts and will be able to capture the moment and remembering the day forever with several photo opportunities. At the end of the experience, guests will be able to enjoy a free-flow comic book and gaming area before purchasing exclusive Batman Unmasked merchandise at the retail store including special Batman 85th Anniversary items alongside classic Batman items.
