Run, Don’t Walk: Electric Shuffle Deansgate Opens Today!

on

Mancunians can finally get a taste of the hottest new addition to hit Manchester’s bar scene today, as the eagerly awaited Electric Shuffle opens the doors of its brand-new venue.

Located on Deansgate, Electric Shuffle – a bar that combines high-tech shuffleboard with outstanding cocktails and delicious sharing dishes in a stunning setting – is the sister concept to the hugely popular Flight Club on King Street.

Promising an epic, one-of-a-kind experience, this must-visit spot ticks all the boxes of a swanky bar, with the bonus of a high-tech, immersive, and addictive version of shuffleboard. A plush, stylish art-deco-inspired bar sits in the centre, surrounded by semi-private shuffleboard areas, there’s a cocktail list that’s to die for and a food menu of crowd-pleasing small plates and stunning sourdough pizza. What’s not to love?

With its gorgeous menus, photo-worthy backdrops, DJ sets and shuffleboard as it’s never been seen before, Electric Shuffle is THE place to head to for the ultimate experience with friends. Boozy brunch, a few drinks, a crazy night dancing round the DJ decks, or a bit of friendly (or not!) competition at the shuffleboard, this new bar has it all.

Supercharged shuffleboard

Think you know shuffleboard? Played one game of shuffle you’ve played ‘em all, right? Wrong! Electric Shuffle has given shuffleboard a seriously high-tech makeover to bring Manchester a unique, supercharged version of the classic game.

State-of-the-art camera vision technology (invented by an actual NASA rocket scientist!) tracks and automatically scores every puck, captures best moments with live shareable replays delivered right to your phone (ideal for a bit of bragging on social media!), and integrates up to 32 players (up to 150 players at once for corporate events) with no hassle.

There are four immersive and fast-paced games to choose from. Games include Eclipse, which sees players aiming to slide and land their puck on (or as close as possible) the target between the middle two zones of the board and Amplifier, which challenges players to land their puck in the zones at the far end of the table to get the highest score.

Small plates, sharing pizzas and epic cocktails

Picky bits and pizzas make up the food selection on offer. Dishes perfect for sharing, that can be scoffed one-handed whilst sliding a puck down a shuffleboard. Buttermilk chicken bites with ranch and BBQ dips, spiced cauliflower wings with red pepper tapenade and jalapeño green salsa and 24-hour pulled pork bao buns are just a few of the options available, as well as dreamy sourdough pizza paddles and loaded fries.

The drinks list features classics with a twist, like Salted Caramel Euphoria – a take on the espresso martini, frozen cocktails – perfect for balmy summer evenings and sharing trophy cocktails, served in a giant trophy cup. What better way to toast a shuffleboard victory?

The setting: Retro glamour with an industrial edge

Step into Electric Shuffle Manchester and you’re transported to a place where art-deco meets Miami with subtle industrial vibes.

Highlights include an art-deco-style central bar where Electric Shuffle’s signature spinning neon turbine wheel sits – inspired by old power stations, and dazzling gold disco glitter balls. Luxurious shades of mint, pink and green give splashes of colour to the bar’s different spaces, and lighting includes a mixture of capiz shell pendants, glass fluted 1920’s style fittings and vintage industrial-feel wall lights. There are nods to Manchester’s music scene and its place as broadcasting hub throughout, and vintage electronics, cassettes and records fill every shelf.

Electric Shuffle’s in-house award-winning design team has thrown all their design prowess into this project to deliver a bar that makes a massive impact. The team also commissioned local muralist, Oskar with a K, to create a stunning ‘Electric Power Co’ mural above one of the bar’s play spaces, making a bold, eye-catching statement as you walk through the venue.

At 11,400 sq/ft, Electric Shuffle Manchester is the biggest Electric Shuffle venue in the UK, with 15 play spaces and a capacity of 450 people.

Brunch done right

Kick off the weekend the best way possible: with Electric Shuffle’s boozy bottomless brunch. The new bar’s brunch session isn’t just any bottomless brunch though. This is better than bottomless.

Available on Saturdays and Sundays for two hours from £35 per person, guests get a whole bottle of Prosecco each (yep, each!) and enough pizza to fill them up for a week. The pizza is unlimited. It literally keeps on coming for the full two hours. Nine different variations of sourdough goodness will make its way over to each group, including classic pepperoni with roquito honey, chargrilled vegetable with basil pesto and spicy ‘nduja with mozzarella, red onions, fresh jalapeño peppers and red chillies. Tickets include 60 minutes of gameplay at the shuffleboard and, post-shuffle, another hour to continue on the bubbly and pizza around a table at the bar. Party vibes are guaranteed as the resident DJ blasts out the tunes throughout the day.

CEO, Steve Moore, who co-founded Electric Shuffle and Flight Club said: “After months working tirelessly to bring this new venue to life, we are so excited to finally be opening our doors. Manchester is such an incredible city, so we feel really privileged to be opening up a second bar here. We can’t wait to start welcoming the people of Manchester this weekend and show them what an Electric Shuffle party is all about,” said Moore.

Electric Shuffle Manchester is located at Ground Floor, 201 Deansgate, Manchester M3 3NW and is open Sunday to Thursday 11:30am – Midnight, Friday 11:30am – 1am and Saturday 11am – 1am.
