SUPERMASSIVE has crash-landed on the rooftop of Depot Mayfield – part interactive gallery, part surreal playground, and entirely designed for curious minds of all ages.
This is a hands-on digital world where kids are not just welcome – they’re the key. Expect playful, multi-sensory installations, musical machines, AI characters, and projection-mapped puzzles that respond to your every move. Built to encourage exploration and creativity, it’s a space where technology becomes a tool for connection, not isolation.
SUPERMASSIVE offers daily calm sessions tailored for neurodivergent visitors and those with sensory sensitivities. These quieter periods provide a gentler environment for anyone who benefits from reduced noise, lower lighting, and more time to explore at their own pace.

The experience is entirely self-guided, with no fixed path and no time limit – just full sensory immersion in a responsive environment. Most people stay 40 to 90 minutes, but it’s up to you. There’s no pressure, no objective – just a chance to play, learn and wander freely.
The rooftop café-bar is open all day, every day – slinging good coffee, fresh food, and drinks from morning until late. Even the bar invites play, with a sound-reactive fountain and a climbable lighthouse.
After dark, SUPERMASSIVE shifts into an adults-only mode – a nighttime version made for dates, mates or solo discovery. It’s still playful, still exploratory, just with a little more edge.
Minutes from Manchester Piccadilly and right above Freight Island, SUPERMASSIVE is both a family day out and a full evening plan – a new kind of cultural playground that invites you to slow down, tune in, and dive deep into the surreal.
