San Carlo Elevates Manchester Mornings with the Return of Breakfast at Cicchetti Manchester

Iconic family-run Italian restaurant group, San Carlo is reintroducing breakfast to Manchester this spring, unveiling an all-new morning menu that’s more indulgent than ever before. The breakfast experience will launch at San Carlo’s longstanding and much-loved Cicchetti Manchester restaurant, located on the ground floor of House of Fraser, King Street West on Monday 23rd February, 2026. 

From oversized, lavishly filled pastries, fluffy focaccias to a meticulously curated à la carte menu of Italian-inspired classics, Cicchetti’s new breakfast celebrates the art of unhurried mornings. Served everyday from 9am – midday, the menu delivers comfort, depth of flavour and unmistakable Italian sophistication, designed for those seeking a decadent start to the day.

Cicchetti Manchester offers the best of both worlds with breakfast available to enjoy in-house or to take away from the deli counter. At the heart of the offering is Cicchetti’s bakery selection, led by its signature giant croissants—baked fresh each morning and filled with rich pistachio cream or indulgent savoury pairings such as Parma ham, mozzarella and peppery rocket. These striking pastries sit alongside classic croissants, almond croissants, pain au chocolat and a selection of traditional Italian pastries. 

Inspired by the iconic focaccias of Florence’s All’Antico Vinaio, Cicchetti’s fluffy, olive-oil–rich focaccia is rustic, hearty and made to be enjoyed without restraint. Available to takeaway, the focaccia is loaded with everything from mozzarella, cherry tomato jam and pesto, to stracciatella with mortadella, roasted aubergine and courgette, and comforting Parmigiana di Melanzane. Meat lovers can dive into Chicken Milanese or porchetta with fries and signature sauces, alongside classics like carpaccio and Parma ham with mozzarella. 

For heartier appetites, the menu features elevated breakfast favourites, including the Cicchetti Full English with Old English pork sausages, crisp bacon, free-range eggs, herbed potatoes, roasted vine tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms and cannellini beans. Timeless brunch classics follow, from Eggs Benedict with Parma ham and Eggs Royal with smoked salmon, to the ultimate indulgence: Eggs Crab & Caviar, crowned with Italian sturgeon caviar.

Lighter and plant-based options are equally considered, with highlights including the Cicchetti Vegan Breakfast, fruit granola with Greek yoghurt and superfoods, and almond-milk porridge finished with an array of toppings.

Italian comfort classics complete the menu, from frittatas with pancetta or seasonal vegetables, to steak and eggs with avocado and creamy avocado toast on artisanal sourdough. Sweet dishes bring a touch of indulgence, with delicate crêpes filled with pistachio or tiramisu cream, finished with chantilly and a fine dusting of chocolate.

To mark the launch, Cicchetti Manchester will gift a complimentary croissant to the first 100 guests through the doors on Thursday 26th February, offering a tempting reward for early risers.
