A new hotel is opening its doors on Deansgate this Spring, with Manchester gearing up to welcome the biggest Hampton by Hilton in Europe.
Scheduled to open in April 2026, the brand new Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre will bring a new hospitality offering to the city, located just steps away from Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop and right above The Deansgate pub.
Part of a wider project by Dean Street Developments, the 358-room Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre will comprise modern guestrooms designed for comfort and convenience, many with sweeping cityscape views – including along Deansgate itself.
Its central location places guests within walking distance of Manchester Central Convention Centre, Deansgate Square, Spinningfields, Oxford Road, major transport links, and many of the city’s leading restaurants, entertainment venues, and shopping districts.
Paying homage to the city that it calls home, the interiors of Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre will feature subtle references to Manchester’s urban character and industrial heritage. The building’s architecture meanwhile will make a strong new addition to the city’s skyline, rising above Deansgate and visible from afar.
The hotel will be home to its own bar and all-day dining restaurant, perfect for a relaxed bite before or after exploring the city, informal meetings, or casual evening drinks. In line with other Hampton by Hilton properties, all stays will include a complimentary hot breakfast, with the brand’s signature Hampton Waffle makers ready for guests to whip up their own golden malted waffles.
Other amenities are set to include a 24-hour fitness centre, and a meeting and event space available for private hire.
“Manchester is a city undergoing exceptional growth, and this opening represents a major milestone for both Dean Street Developments and the wider hospitality landscape,” says Adi Hodzic, Managing Director of Dean Street Developments. “Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre brings a contemporary, intelligently designed product to the city centre, matching the scale and ambition of the city itself.”
“We’re thrilled to be opening Europe’s largest Hampton by Hilton in Manchester, a city known for its warm hospitality,” adds Abi Hindle, General Manager of the hotel. “We’re certain that the new Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre will be a great addition to the city’s already flourishing hospitality landscape, becoming a popular destination for tourists, business travellers, and families alike.”
Nick Smart, Vice President, Development, UK, Ireland and Nordics at Hilton, comments: “We’re proud to partner with Dean Street Developments on the opening of Europe’s largest Hampton by Hilton in Manchester, one of the UK’s most dynamic cities. This project underscores our ambition to expand our presence in high‑growth areas across the UK, working with trusted partners to develop world-class hotels that offer travellers fantastic stays in great destinations.”
