SPOTTED: GHOSTS CHASE PAC-MAN THROUGH MANCHESTER AHEAD OF NEW IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE OPENING

Ahead of “the PAC-MAN LIVE EXPERIENCE” opening its doors to the public this Friday (21st March), PAC-MAN himself was spotted being chased through the streets of Manchester by the iconic Ghosts: BLINKY, PINKY, INKY and CLYDE.

The immersive experience – launched by Bandai Namco Entertainment, in collaboration with Little Lion Entertainment – sent five PAC-cabs out onto the streets of Manchester to celebrate the launch.

Visitors to the PAC-MAN LIVE EXPERIENCE will step into a life-sized, interactive PAC-MAN maze, putting their competitive skills to the test as they battle it out to be crowned winner across 12 thrilling levels.

And it seems it’s that competitive spirit that riles Brits, with more than a third (35%) saying they are overly competitive, and a further 28% being self-proclaimed sore losers, according to a study by the PAC-MAN LIVE EXPERIENCE.

The research also showed that across the country, Londoners are most likely to say they have a desire to win (33%) followed closely by those in Manchester and Glasgow (both 32%).

The PAC-MAN LIVE EXPERIENCE blends physical activity with augmented reality in a multi-sensory adventure where players wear high-tech PAC-Vests equipped with advanced tracking technology, allowing them to collect POWER PELLETS, evade the iconic Ghosts and accumulate points.

Tom Lionetti-Maguire, CEO and Founder of Little Lion Entertainment, said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce the world to our latest innovation—a real-life version of PAC-MAN! “This is a game-changer in immersive entertainment, bringing the classic arcade experience to life in an entirely new way. Whether you’re dodging ‘ghosts’ or racing to collect points, this experience is designed to be pure, nostalgic fun with a modern twist. We can’t wait for players to step into this world and bring the adventure to life!”

Standard tickets are now available for £26 per person, with sessions lasting approximately 60 minutes, including 30 minutes of gameplay. The experience is designed for teams of up to eight players, making it an ideal outing for families, friends, and nostalgia enthusiasts.
