This April, The Little Disco and La Discothèque, proudly presents a two-city special across Easter with one of house music’s true originators: Lil’ Louis. First up: Manchester, where the godfather of house touches down on Easter Thursday 17 April for an unmissable appearance at Amber’s, Manchester’s most exciting new club venue. This is an intimate, high-energy session with a true legend of the scene, as part of his 50 Tour – commemorating his remarkable 50-year career. Lil’ Louis will also be joined by local heroes Kath McDermott and Metrodome.
A true pioneer, Lil’ Louis helped shape the foundations of house music as a DJ, producer, and storyteller. Born in Chicago, he was behind the decks by age 12 and throwing parties by 16, including what many consider the world’s first rave. His 1989 hit French Kiss sold over six million copies and took Chicago house global. With two acclaimed albums and collaborations ranging from Jay-Z to Donna Summer, Louis remains one of the most influential figures in dance music history. The Manchester show is powered by The Little Disco, La Discothèque’s intimate counterpart known for throwing up-close-and-personal parties with heavyweight guests in special spaces.
Amber’s, located in Circle Square, is the perfect setting for a night of classic house, future sounds and deep club energy. Three nights later, Lil’ Louis heads to the capital to headline La Discothèque at fabric London on Easter Sunday 20 April. The full-club takeover includes three rooms of cutting-edge sounds and joyful dancefloor vibes, with sets from Artwork, Guy Williams, Pirate Copy, Daisybelle, Carly Foxx, and more — a true La Discothèque family affair in one of the world’s most iconic venues.
Whether in the hottest new club space Amber’s or the legendary sound system of fabric, these shows are a rare chance to catch one of house music’s greats in full flow — with two unforgettable line-ups, two world-class venues, and La Discothèque at the helm.
