What better place to be at Christmas than the Stables Tavern?
There won’t be any shepherds, ox or donkey, but plenty of wise team members behind the bar, serving Christmas cocktails, homemade winter bakes and, as ever, a fantastic selection of 10 rotational beer lines, featuring local heroes and guest favourites.
Beautifully dressed to impress with Christmas trees, lights and garlands (think cosy Narnia vibes), Stables Tavern – in the St John’s district of the city centre – is the perfect pub for festive get-togethers – a roaring fire, mulled wine and live music from Thursday to Sunday.
Alongside the Tav’s regular offering of draught beers and live music, there’ll be early Christmas

goodies in the form of homemade pastries, Great North Pie Co. pies, Christmas cocktails and more:
- Mulled wine
- Winter Spiced Spritz – Aperol, Prosecco, ginger beer, cranberry, winter spices
- Morello Cherry Sours – Amaretto, morello cherry, orange
- Noel Old Fashioned – Woodford Reserve, bitters, winter spices
