RAMONA RADIO RETURNS!

Manchester’s midweek rave ritual turns up the volume this winter as Ramona links up with Reform Radio for a special Ramona Radio series inside the iconic MOT Station in Ancoats

Blending Detroit-style pizza, margaritas and Manchester’s underground sound, the Ramona Radio Rave series has become one of the city’s most exciting midweek gatherings; where selectors, artists and dancers meet under the glow of Ramona’s neon lights. Every Wednesday from 7pm until midnight, expect fresh names, fearless sets and the kind of midweek magic only Manchester can deliver.

As 2025 comes to a close, Ramona Radio and Reform Radio reaffirm their shared mission to spotlight fresh talent and strengthen Manchester’s creative community. Across six weeks of events, the partnership highlights the power of grassroots promoters and local DJs in shaping the city’s cultural heartbeat. With its final line-up spanning underground rap, neo-soul, jungle, global grooves and bass-heavy club music, the closing run of Ramona Radio promises to end the year on a high — a celebration of Manchester’s sound, its people and its ever-evolving dancefloor spirit.

Wednesday 19th November 2025 – Monoko & SPUN Collective

7pm – midnight

Drum and bass meets jungle when Monoko joins forces with SPUN Collective. Having evolved from a private-party crew into a non-profit movement, SPUN are on a mission to make Manchester’s nightlife more open, accessible and community-driven. Expect rolling basslines, high-energy breaks and an atmosphere built on inclusivity and connection.

On the 26th November, Ramona Radio welcomes some of Manchester’s most adventurous selectors alongside Parisian producer, DJ and Rinse FM resident, Teddy Kitano. 

Gauteng-born SNO, now based in Manchester, weaves South African hip-hop, Congolese rumba, Egyptian jazz and Brazilian boogie into eclectic, globally inspired sets. She is joined by Old Trafford’s Katbrownsugar — DJ, singer and producer — whose blend of neo-soul, hip-hop and future beats has earned her international acclaim, Mixcloud awards, and tours alongside Children of Zeus. 

Liz-zie will take things up a notch, bringing bassy sounds, UK garage, grime and house. Before Teddy Kitano closes the night, traversing sounds of jungle, afro-bass, and ghetto-tech. Celebrated for productions in the tracklists of DJs around the world: Jyoty, Kush Jones, Scratcha DVA, Saint Ludo. Teddy Kitano embodies creative energy and musical innovation, contributing significantly to the global electronic scene with his unique presence and electrifying performances.

Wednesday 3rd December 2025 – ebmo & GLOSS Collective

7pm – midnight

The 3rd December sees ebmo and GLOSS Collective bring the series to a powerful close. A rising force on the Leeds and Manchester circuit, ebmo delivers a sharp, bass-driven sound that cuts across house, UK garage and global club beats. GLOSS Collective, known for their inclusive, high-energy approach to nightlife, join to close out the series with a statement of creativity, diversity and togetherness. Expect a finale that captures the inclusive, high-voltage energy that defines Ramona Radio Rave.

Wednesday December 10th – Salsa De Cuba – End of Year Celebration

8pm – 11:45pm 

Salsa De Cuba are throwing one last party to close out their season of Ramona takeovers. The band is now renowned for turning the MOT garage into one of Manchester’s hottest salsa nights — a vibrant mix of rhythm, passion, and community. 

Join us in celebration for Ramona’s last Salsa Night of 2025 — live music, dancing, drinks, and festive Cuban end of year traditions! Expect everything you love about their Ramona nights — authentic live salsa from Salsa De Cuba, delicious food and drinks, and the amazing dancers of all levels who make every night unforgettable.

Prepare to close out the year together with music, movement, and pure salsa energy.

Wednesday 17th December 2025 – Great Danes & Burna B2B Hally

7pm – midnight 

Manchester-based dance music collective Great Danes are known for their bass-centric trajectory and innovative sound. Comprising the talents of CONE, Lucian, and MBB they stand out in the city’s dynamic music scene with their exceptional technical skills and unique selections. On Wednesday 17th December, for one special evening, they will be joined by Australian power duo Burna and Hally, delivering bass, footwork, grime and UKG in abundance 

Driven by a love for off-kilter club and techno-adjacent sounds, Great Danes seamlessly blend techno, dubstep, grime and all manner of low-end-heavy club genres. Making a name for themselves through intimate parties dedicated to the celebration of leftfield culture. 

Hally’s sound is rooted in bassline, jungle and 160+ bpm energy, and has taken her to clubs in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Scotland to standout appearances at Dayshift, Radar Festival, and some of the UK’s most exciting festivals, including a memorable set at Boomtown’s legendary Soapranos Laundrette.

Australia’s Burna is establishing himself as one of the most explosive talents on the global electronic scene. Between UK bass, dembow and techno percussion, Coachella’s clubs and festivals return to Glastonbury. Endorsed by Jamie xx, Conducta, Sicaria, Jyoty, Skin on Skin and signed to TraTraTrax, Ec2a, Nehza Records, he embodies the new generation of dancefloor machines.

All events take place at Ramona, 40 Swan Street, Manchester — a former MOT garage transformed into a neon-lit rave space complete with pizza bar, cocktail lounge and fire-pit courtyard. Doors open from 6pm, with sets running until midnight, and entry is free subject to capacity. The atmosphere fuses industrial grit with community warmth, delivering the kind of midweek energy that has made Ramona one of Manchester’s most beloved destinations for music, food and nightlife.
