Manchester foodies are about to experience the city’s most indulgent dining experience yet, a butter candle that melts at your table.
British butter brand All Things and cult fried chicken spot Yard & Coop have teamed up to launch the UK’s first butter candle sharing platter, turning butter into a warm, flavoured dipping sauce for signature fried chicken.
From 11 February until 14 March, diners can choose between All Things’ Truffle Butter or a co-created Hot Honey Butter, both designed to enhance the crunch and bold flavour of Yard & Coop’s famous chicken. Served as part of a sharing platter with a choice of sides – including sweet potato fries, corn ribs, wings and truffle mac & cheese – the melted butter candle is made for dunking, drizzling and sharing.
The collaboration comes as appetite for flavoured butters soars, with research showing spending across Britain rose by 24% year-on-year in 2025*, driven by viral food trends and a desire for simple, indulgent upgrades.
This partnership is a celebration of British produce with All Things producing butter using high quality 100% British cream, while Yard & Coop prides itself on sourcing chicken from one trusted farm in Shropshire. Together, they’re offering diners a bold, indulgent way to experience British ingredients at their best, designed to be shared around the table.
Toby Hopkinson, co-founder of All Things, says:
“This collaboration really is a full-circle moment for me. I’m originally from Manchester and started my career there, working with Carl back in my early marketing days, so partnering with Yard & Coop all these years later feels pretty special – it’s a bit like bringing it back to my roots.”
“Butter deserves better than being scraped onto toast and forgotten, so we wanted to make it the star of the show – literally put it in the centre of the table with a flame on top. It’s indulgent, it’s a bit cheeky, and honestly? Dunking their famous fried chicken into melted butter just makes sense.”
Carl Morris, founder of Yard & Coop, says:
“The best food is food you get stuck into with other people. With All Things, we’re taking that idea to the next level, turning butter into something interactive, indulgent and perfect for dipping our chicken into. It’s bold, it’s a bit messy, and it’s exactly the kind of experience we love serving up at Yard & Coop.”
The UK’s first ever butter candle sharing platter will be available to try at Yard & Coop Manchester from 11 February to 14 March 2026. Walk-ins are welcome, but bookings are recommended.
