Now open in Manchester and with an official debut in the UK, The Mystery of Banksy – A Genius Mind has launched at Depot Mayfield and is bookable until 5th July 2026.
The immersive experience celebrates the mind of one of the world’s most famous street artists, with a unique experience for all, featuring over 250 reimagined works in a variety of forms, bringing Banksy’s iconic style to life in a unique way.
Depot Mayfield has been transformed into an interactive collection of artwork, containing a variety of graffiti, photographs, video installations and prints, all reimagined to bring the Banksy history to life under one roof. Transcend through the career of the anonymous yet renowned artist with a captivating video screening that articulates his famous pieces and cultural impact.
A cultural first for the city, Manchester marks the very first destination in the UK for this global exhibition, which has welcomed over 3.5M visitors across 36 cities making an impact in the cities through captivating the audiences from Warsaw to Berlin.
Visitors can marvel at pieces inspired by the notorious Girl With Balloon shredding moment, the intriguing works of Devolved Parliament, a fully “Banksified” London Underground carriage, a towering seven-foot elephant installation and the famous repurposed Nissan Micra, sold to the organisers by a Manchester teenager for the exhibition to recreate Banksy’s famous work of a rhino mounting the car.
In the first few days of the exhibition opening, over 200 visitors have rated the exhibition 4.7/5 (source FeverZone). In line with Banksy’s own principle that “Copyright is for losers © TM”, this tribute is not officially authorised, owing to the artist’s continued anonymity.
Open to all, standard adult tickets start at £22. Tickets are free for curious minds under the age of 6, with concession tickets also available for 7-16 year olds, seniors and all NHS workers.
Over 20,000 tickets have sold, with the opening weekend 95% sold out. Visitors are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment. More information can be found online here.
