The award-winning ‘New World Trading Company’ has announced that ‘The Botanist MediaCityUK’ will be opening to the public in September 2017.
The 14th edition to The Botanist portfolio will be situated in The Orange Tower, an 11 storey building in Manchester’s MediaCityUK, a 200-acre mixed-use property development on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal in Salford and Trafford.
Developed by Peel Holdings back in 2007, this bustling business community, which has its own energy generation plant and communications network, is now a hub for the cities major media companies and is also home to Manchester’s favourite TV show ‘Coronation Street’ along with Salford University, the BBC, ITV, The Lowry Theatre and a selection of discerning eateries.
The new Botanist venue will cover 6500 sq ft of drinking and eating space with room for 146 diners and it will also feature a large outside terrace allowing for al fresco drinking and dining.
On the food menu will be the brand’s signature hanging kebabs along with deli boards, nibbles and pub grub staples such as rotisserie chicken, inspired by the in-house barbeque.
The site will also showcase the brand’s extensive cocktail menu which offers over 45 botanical-based concoctions. In true Botanist style, the venue will be employing the services of top class mixologists who will merge and muddle fresh fruits, herbs and spirits to create unique signature tipples that will sit alongside a range of classic cocktails, shorts, and non-alcoholic beverages.
The bar will also stock more than 60 ales, beers and ciders from around the world, including a home-brewed speciality ale.
Sales and Events Manager Dan Shidlow said:
“We’re very excited to be opening in MediaCityUK, it’s the perfect location for our brand. The area is always busy and as The Botanist is already renowned for excellent food, drink and live entertainment we expect this pub to be very popular with the area’s daytime workers who want to pop in for a coffee in addition to those looking for an after work drink.”
In anticipation of the launch in September, ‘The Botanist MediaCityUK’ will be recruiting 50-60 staff to cover all areas of the business with interviews taking place early August.
Mark Robinson, Head of Asset Management, MediaCityUK, said: “The Botanist is an exciting addition to the growing MediaCityUK community; its stylish, distinctive interiors together with a large, outdoor area offering stunning views of the waterfront, will make it a special newcomer in our growing dining and drinking scene. We look forward to its hotly anticipated opening.”
Situated at The Orange Tower, Unit 1 Balcony, Salford, M50 2HE, The Botanist MediaCityUK will be open from 12pm to 12am every day from early September 2017.
