The UK’s First Ninja Park Opens in Manchester

THE UK’s first Ninja park – and the largest in the world – has opened in Manchester.

Hot on the heels of the Saturday evening TV programme, Total Ninja is the first park of its kind in the UK with a 40,000 sq ft space dedicated to 11 different Ninja runs for adrenaline monkeys aged five and over.

The park, on Tenax Road in between Manchester’s Trafford Centre and Media City, features three different zones and equipment – one for ages six and over, one for ages ten and over and an elite run for people who want to put their skills to the test and train for the TV programme. It will also house a Ninja-Fit gym training facility to improve strength and conditioning.

All would-be Ninjas are supported by on-course professionals who will be on hand to give out handy tips advice and guidance as customers try to overcome the obstacles.

Obstacles include a spider wall, quad steps, ring sliders, a warped wall, rotating logs, the sea of doors, a floating bridge, tilting beams, a sea of swings and a scramble net, all supported by foam pits and giant airbags.

The park is the brainchild of Innovation Leisure – the group that also runs successful JUMP Inc urban trampoline parks across the north of England – and will create 50 jobs.

Chris Hayes, managing director of Innovation Leisure, said: “We’ve been working on bringing this to life for a while now and we’re extremely excited for its opening in May. We’ve made it bigger and better than what you might see on TV – and everyone can have a go.

“Ninja runs and obstacles have long since been part of our trampoline parks, but this huge, dedicated Ninja park takes it to the next level. It’s the first of its kind in the UK and we believe it’ll be the largest in the world.”
