ELECTRIK LAUNCH 2019 PROGRAMME WITH SPECIAL GUEST SELECTORS

Electrik announce Andy Burnham (Mayor of Greater Manchester), A Certain Ratio, BC Camplight and more…

The Wednesday ‘One Deck’ returns to Electrik Bar for 2019 with an incredible line up, bringing you a weekly night of the best musical playlists and selections from the people in the biz. Forget the mixing and turntable scratching, this is about relaxing into your Wednesday evening with musical artists and influencers sharing their favourite vinyl records.
Kicking off the series is none other than the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham (30th Janurary). Known for his strong interest and contribution to the Manchester music scene, expect to hear the best Mancunian hits and support acts from the Unabombers and Chris Massey.
From a Manchester official to bona fide legends, we welcome Jez and Martin from A Certain Ratio to present an unreal collection of punk/funk/industrial/dance tunes at the end of February. After forming the band in 1977, this Mancunain duo went on to release tracks for Factory Records, Rob’s Records, Creation and A&M.
Fast forward to the month of March and we are introducing you to BC Camplight to the One Deck Sessions. Originating from New Jersey, this multi-instrumentalist hones in on the sounds of rock, Bowie, LCD Soundsystem, Beach Boys-esque harmonies, elements of glam rock & beyond. With 4 incredible albums and a firm favourite of the BBC Radio 6 selections, we cannot wait to see what this talented artist has to offer.
The renowned One Deck Sessions at Electrik is a free event, making you feel less guilty for grabbing one more craft beer or perhaps a refreshing G&T. Giving you the best opportunity to listen to quality music and delve into the record collections by some of the most influential people in music.
