We headed down to All Star Lanes in the Great Northern Building to try out their newly revamped legendary brunch menu!
The brand which states “So long trashy bowling centres. Our cocktails are kitsch & our food is fineeee.”
The dining and bowling hot spot frequented by celebs have made some new additions to their menu across all of their sites. Taking the all-American brunch to a whole new level, the new menu features classic dishes alongside some more unusual choices.
The concept focuses around “Bottomless Brunchin” where you can order any brunch or main dish and enjoy 2 hours of bottomless Prosecco, Mimosa or craft beer for just an extra £20 per person!
To start we tried the Popcorn Squid with caramelised lemon and chive mayo! These where amazing and could of gone through boxes off them!
We then sampled the Loaded Nachos which came with corn tortilla chips, pico de gallo, guacamole, jalapeños, buffalo sauce, sour cream and American cheese sauce!
Next was the main event with us moving onto the main meal of the brunch! First we tried the American Breakfast which came with cumberland sausage, two rich yolk fried eggs, treacle cured bacon, buttermilk pancakes, tater tots and the beautiful maple syrup!
We also sampled the Short Rib hash which was slow cooked short rib, cubed potatoes, red cabbage, rich yolk fried egg and Carolina BBQ sauce!
We accompanies both main dishes with Cajun Halloumi Fries and Tater Tots!
Further to the dishes we tried All Star Lanes have also improved their classics– The Lebowski burger has been made bigger and better – a mouth-watering combination of 6 oz chuck steak & rib cap patty, treacle cured bacon, slow-cooked pork rib, rich yolk fried egg, American cheese, tomato salsa and mustard.
Vegetarians are by no means an afterthought, with veggie dishes including Huevos Rancheros providing a twist on the classic Mexican dish – a crispy tortilla bowl encasing rich yolk fried egg, refried beans, guacamole, Red Leicester cheese, pico de gallo salsa and sour cream. A millennial favourite has been given a shake up: Avocado Sourdough combines slices of ripe avocado on top of butternut squash dukkah, rocket and sourdough toast.
Guests can choose to go bottomless, with the option of adding 2 hours of unlimited Prosecco, Mimosa or craft beer to any main dish for an extra £20 per person. For the first time, Londoners can choose to have bottomless craft beers with their brunch menu, including Pacifico, Beavertown Gamma Ray, Kona Big Wave or Lucky Jack Grapefruit.
All Star Lanes will also be incorporating a programme of entertainment into their brunch sessions; expect drag bingo, live musicians and interactive games. The menu has been created by Matthew Goussaert, who has recently joined All Star Lanes as development chef following 6 years as Executive Chef for The Breakfast Club, where he helped to earn the restaurants a reputation as the go-to place in London for brunch. All Star Lanes has four sites across London (White City, Brick Lane, Holborn, Stratford) and one in Manchester.
