Summer is just around the corner, with thoughts already turning to beer gardens, al fresco dining and good times in the sunshine. If you’re in the centre of Manchester and seeking out a sunny spot to sit, relax and enjoy some great outdoor food and drink, here are two hotspots you need to seek out:

Courts Club
Courts Club is making a play for the title of Manchester’s Best Beer Garden, and it’s bringing the vibes, the drinks, the food and the sun traps.
The venue has had a serious glow-up for the new season, with a refreshed Clubhouse interior, a new food concept from The Dugout (think gourmet hot dogs and loaded sharing plates), and a fresh drinks menu stacked with spritz options and signature cocktails.
The iconic outdoor big screen will be playing all season for their Summer of Sport, showing major fixtures across the Premier League, Wimbledon, and upcoming World Cup matches.

Stables Tavern
This historic boozer boasts a huge outdoor area where you can enjoy some proper pints alongside homemade pies, sausage rolls and bar snacks (scotch eggs too, of course).
Expect a great, well kept beer selection, rotating lines from local breweries, as well as guest favourites, and a small but considered list of classic cocktails.
Independent, dog-friendly, and housed in the original Rovers Return bar set, this is your neighbourhood tavern for the summer!

Lawn Club
From bottomless brunches and bench dancing to, £10 lunch, happy hour in the sun (two for £14 cocktails, four for £14 shots, £20 Prosecco, £5 House lager), and Wimbledon and World Cup on the big screen, The Lawn Club in Spinningfields is Manchester’s ultimate summer spot.
As its name suggests, The Lawn Club is all about celebrating the outdoors, offering a hidden garden escape in the city centre that’s ideal for soaking up the sun and summer vibes.
The all-day main menu features something for everyone and every time of day – from small plates to summer salads, sharers to burgers, pizzas to tacos.
