Freight Island announces its Christmas programme this season, with festive food and drink, party packages and a new immersive Grotto experience, inviting guests to celebrate the season in the heart of Manchester.
Located just a five-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station, Freight Island will offer a festive setting for everything from casual get-togethers and group celebrations to family days out, with seasonal food and drink, dedicated Christmas party packages and a Grotto experience.
New for 2026, The Magic of Christmas will transform Freight Island’s outdoor area into a festive village, offering families an immersive journey through ten interactive stops, culminating in a magical visit to Santa’s Lodge. Designed to bring the wonder of Christmas to life, the experience will feature a North Pole Post Office where children can write their Christmas wishes, The Little Elves’ Workshop for hands-on festive crafts, and Mrs Claus’ Gingerbread Kitchen, where little visitors can decorate their own gingerbread treats.
Along the way, families can collect stamps in their Elf Passport, leave a wish at the Wishing Tree, enjoy a festive photo opportunity at the Elf Content Studio and gather for music and dancing at The Stage, before meeting Santa in his Grotto. With activities designed to encourage creativity, play and festive fun, The Magic of Christmas offers a seasonal experience for families to enjoy together.
Alongside the family experience, Freight Island’s food and drink offering will bring plenty of festive flavour to the season. Visitors can explore the venue’s line-up of independent food traders, with Christmas specials and seasonal dishes available throughout the festive period. New for this year, the Christmas BBQ will serve up the ultimate festive BBQ tray, adding a seasonal twist to Freight Island’s food offering.
For those planning a Christmas get-together, Freight Island will also offer a range of party packages catering to both small and large groups. Party Tables start from £30 per person to spend on food and drink, while Dining Tables offer a set menu at £42 per person for two courses or £48 per person for three courses. For larger celebrations, private hire options are available, with exclusive spaces and tailored food and drink packages to suit the occasion. Find out more here.
