Amazingly light and delicious tang of sourdough
With a range of sourdough toasties (including a heavenly mac’n’cheese toastie pictured above), sandwiches and cakes, this new cafe is an easy choice for lunchtime punters.
After a recent refurb, Nine has a lovely home comfort feel with board games, wooden tables and a relaxed atmosphere. They offer a selection of vegetarian options (one that caught my eye was a feta, sundried tomato, olives and pepper toastie – yum!) and are currently designing a range of vegan cakes.
After finishing my toastie, owner Harry Foxley sat down for a chat. Harry talked about how the family business started as a greasy spoon and how the brothers decided to renovate the cafe to better reflect their taste and personality – and they’ve done a pretty great job!
Nine is all about quality food, and you can taste this passion for detail in every bite. The bread is freshly homemade, Yorkshire quality ham is delivered from a butcher and only the best ingredients are used in all their dishes.
Definitely worth a visit! We will be visiting again soon!
