Ducie Street Warehouse is proud to announce A Christmas Cracker for its festive programming – running from Friday 26th November until Friday 24th December. The four-week extravaganza will feature a series of free and ticketed events with Something for Everyone.

The stunning Grade-II listed building will be transformed into a cool Christmas wonderland – a space for everyone to be merry together, with friends, partners, and families: a place for all.  Unfolding the festivities on Friday 26th November, Ducie Street Warehouse will welcome a performance from the celebrated Gospel choir, Manchester Inspirational Voices ­­– where they will perform on two evenings during the festive season, with the second one being on Friday 10th December.

Keeping things crafty and festive at Ducie Street Warehouse, Ancoats’ neighbourhood homeware shop, Northern Lights, will host an Autumn Wreath Making workshop on Friday 26th November. And join Mariel for a fun Disco Wreath Making as she blends traditional wreath making with her iconic glitter displays on Thursday 2nd and 9th December. The simply delicious Lola’s Bakery will also run two very special Dog Treats workshop for you to treat your furry friends on Friday 26th November and Saturday 11th December.

In partnership with akt, Ducie Street Warehouse will host a Charity Gift Wrap, on Sunday 5th and 12th December, where you are invited to bring your gifts for the amazing volunteers at akt to beautifully wrap; all in support of LGBTQ+ young people in the UK experiencing homelessness or living in hostile environments. Donations are highly encouraged and will go directly to akt.

For those looking to sharpen their culinary skills, Head Chef Andrew Green, at Ducie Street Warehouse, will present his masterclass, Christmas Done with Andrew Green, to prepare you for the big Christmas dinner this year. Green will share his expertise on how to make Beef Wellington on Wednesday 1st December, and Turkey Roulade on Wednesday 8th December. The masterclass is priced at £100 per person, which includes all the ingredients and equipment you need for the one-hour course, glass of prosecco on arrival and the meal you have prepared from the course – to eat in or take away. Home of prints and personalised art, Drawgina, will be doing a pop-up shop at the Counter from Monday 22nd November. And contemporary clothing brand Native Youth will be returning to Ducie Street Warehouse on Saturday 4th December for a curated Christmas edition of their famous pop-up market – plus a competition to win two outfits from Native Youth and a one night stay at Native Manchester, check out @duciestreet and @native_youth socials for the latest.

On Thursday 16th December, Ducie Street Warehouse will present Santa’s Airdrop gift – come down to the venue and keep an eye out on your device to see what present Santa is bringing you this year.

Christmas countdown will begin on Monday 13th December until Friday 24th December featuring a series of your all-time classic and favourite films at the 36-seat Mini Cini with 7.1 sound and a 4k projector – showing films such as The Polar Express (2004), Bad Santa (2003), Miracle on 34th Street (1994), Love Actually (2003), Die Hard (1988) and much more.

Bringing people together again in the festive season, Head Chef Andrew Green has created a special festive menu at the restaurant – available from Monday 15th November until Thursday 23rd December and bookable for a group of up to 20 people. The three-course menu is priced at £35 per head, with starters such as Spiced parsnip & chickpea hummus; Garlic scented Focaccia; Breaded Brie; Sautéed King prawns; Crispy fried Calamari; and Winter vegetable fritter. Followed by mains which include Turkey Parmigiana; Baked Salmon; Cumbrian mini-Pigs in blankets; Massey farm goose fat roasties; Maple glazed winter vegetables; and Mulled spiced roasted beets, bean and grains. And finish off with a choice of Local cheese; Chocolate dipped Cannoli’s; Majool date Toffee slice; or Mini Clementine tartlets.

Christmas Day menu, on Saturday 25th December, is priced at £115 per head for adults and £40 per head for children, including a mocktail. Guests will be welcomed with festive punch and sharing snack board on arrival, followed by starter, mains with all the sides – served family style, with dessert and cheese course at the end. Following last year’s successful NQ Grotto, the fairy tale land called Mancunia will make its return to the neighbourhood, this time it will be hosted at Native Manchester across four dates in December – 4th, 11th, 18th and 19th with an hour session each day at 10:00, 11:45, 13:30, 15:15 and 17:00. Guests will be taken on a magical journey in the towering Atrium of Native Manchester, to enjoy the beautiful Grotto theatre performance with a Santa experience like no other. Ducie Street Warehouse is also supporting Eat Well MCR to reach their next target of 100,000 meals for Manchester: by cooking 50 meals every week from its restaurant kitchen and adding the Eat Well MCR “£2 Meal for Manchester” to their menu, giving customers the opportunity to fund a meal for someone else when dining.
