Step into Harry Potter™: A Forbidden Forest Experience at Bolesworth Castle as it returns to Cheshire this winter

This winter, Harry Potter™ fans will be invited to step into the shadows of a Forbidden Forest, as Harry Potter™: A Forbidden Forest Experience arrives at Bolesworth Castle near Chester for a limited run from 10 December. Presented by Fever, the world’s leading tech platform for discovering culture and live entertainment, this multisensory nighttime trail brings never-before-seen elements to the UK, following its Cheshire debut in 2021 and a successful return in 2022.

Tickets go on general sale next Tuesday, 3 November, but audiences can join the waitlist via the Fever app and website for pre-sale access.

Launching just in time for Christmas, the enchanting 1.95km trail under the stars will transform the forest into a living, breathing celebration of the world of Harry Potter™. As darkness falls, visitors will follow a winding woodland path where towering trees and original soundscapes create a sense of mystery, wonder and adventure at every turn.

Fans will come face-to-face with some of the most beloved and elusive magical creatures from the Harry Potter™ and Fantastic Beasts™ franchises, from the graceful Hippogriff to the mischievous Niffler, all brought to life through cutting-edge light, projection and interactive elements. The journey culminates in a themed village where guests can warm up and enjoy a curated selection of themed food and drinks, while browsing official Harry Potter™ merchandise and exclusive souvenirs unique to the experience.

  • Walk Under the Stars: Embark on a 1.95km illuminated journey through an enchanted forest featuring Fascinating light and sound installations that recreate interactive Forbidden Forest moments, bringing iconic film moments to life
  • Explore New Attractions: Find new features to the UK at Bolesworth Castle, such as the magical Golden Egg and a chilling Death Eater
  • Discover Photo Opportunities: Snap memorable photos beside iconic wizarding world elements like Quidditch and beloved characters such as Hagrid along the path
  • Cast a Spell: Guests can step into a wand duel, test their spellcasting skills, and even attempt to summon a Patronus

Those visiting the Harry Potter™: A Forbidden Forest Experience in Bolesworth Castle will join the other three million visitors across four continents and 16 cities who have already been captivated by the magic of this outdoor journey. More than 75,000 trees have been planted as part of an initiative to give back to the environment.
